Self-regulated Resource-based Learning
Web 2.0 communities, resources and services offer a wide range of opportunities regarding knowledge and competency development. Resource-based learning means to organize the process of learning on your own. Didactic and organizational patterns are not followed and learning often happens without institutional guidelines. This is known as informal learning.
Opportunities and Challenges
Self-regulated learning provides not only opportunities but also challenges. Learners have to choose relevant and reliable resources all by themselves. This is why their tasks are varied and complex.
CROKODIL's Goals
The CROKODIL project aims to systematically support self-regulated resource-based learning and connect it with instructional and collaborative learning in communities. To this aim, a new Web 2.0 platform (the CROKODIL platform), including didactic concepts, will be developed. CROKODIL will be tested in vocational education and training scenarios.
